STATEMENT BY CYNDI LAUPER ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA SUPREME COURT'S DECISION ON PROP 8:

Let me see, how does that song go again? "I get knocked down, but I get up again. You're never going to keep me down." Every time we get knocked down we only get stronger. If it takes one time or ten times, we get stronger each time.

Never forget the late, great San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk who was known for saying, "...I'M HERE TO RECRUIT YOU!!" And I'm shouting out now for all my fellow straight allies to stand beside our LGBT friends and family and start being counted.

This summer, the True Colors Tour has joined forces with Wanda Sykes to bring you two incredible evenings of comedy in support of LGBT equality.

The shows will take place Saturday, July 11th at the Austin Music Hall in Austin, TX and Sunday, July 12th at the Nokia Theatre in Dallas, TX.

For the past two summers, the True Colors Tour has been honored to travel across North America to critical acclaim and wildly enthusiastic crowds as we celebrate the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community and advocate for the basic values and freedoms that should be shared by all Americans through the power of music and comedy.

All of us at the True Colors Tour have been hard at work planning the best way to hit the road again given the current economic climate and to ensure that we keep our shows fresh and exciting. We have taken many factors into account, including the survey responses of over 2,000 past tour attendees. Since early spring is typically when we announce our summer tour, we wanted to take a moment to update you on the future of the True Colors Tour.
